I had to set up this Blogger identity long ago to be able to post in the UNT-SLIS Houston LISSA blog. I haven't done much with it since then, other than use the identity to join the posting teams for our Library Online Lounge public blog at work, and our private library staff blog.
I started writing about the books I've read in my Live Journal in the middle of last year, but I don't get many comments there, so I decided to make this unused identity my book blog. It also gave me a chance to play around with some enhancements like the LibraryThing and Flickr widgets. Now let's just hope I can keep up with it. Hope you enjoy!
ETA: In May 2018, I moved some posts written in 2007 from a group blog about Newbery Medalists to this blog, so there are some posts dated earlier than this one.
In October 2018, I copied one originally posted in LiveJournal in December 2007 as another book I read that month references it (and numbered it 852). I did the same in June 2021 for two reviews posted in May 2007 (number 1050 and 1051) and a review originally posted in November 2007 (and numbered it 1052).

In July 2021, I added three reviews written in the autumn of 1975 (for a Journalism 315 - Photography class I took at Texas A&M University These reviews were numbered 1053 through 1055 and dated December 1975.
In November 2025, I added six reviews originally written and posted in May and June 2007 in my LiveJournal - these are numbered 1212 through 1217 and dated with their original. This was because another review (#1284) posted in November 2025 referenced #1215, and some of the other reviews referenced each other.
